Overview of Finances
The majority of the $120,000 that Bright Futures Initiative earned during the most recent fiscal year came from local fundraising events (15%), educational grants (35%), and individual contributions (50%). These grants allowed us to reach more than 500 students in underprivileged communities with educational resources, offer scholarships, and grow our after-school programs. Our group is still dedicated to resource allocation and financial honesty.
Spending and Assistance for the Program
Eighty-two percent of the $110,000 in total spending for the year went directly toward our educational activities, which included mentorship seminars, curriculum creation, teacher stipends, and school supplies. Ten percent went toward community fundraising and donor outreach, while eight percent went toward administrative expenses. We constantly work to make sure the youth we assist receive the majority of our money.
Outlook and Financial Situation
By the end of the year, we had a $10,000 positive balance, bringing our total cash reserves to $30,000. This excess will support our efforts to invest in local educators’ capacity-building and pilot innovative digital literacy initiatives in the coming year. Bright Futures Initiative is in a strong position to expand its influence and provide high-quality education to even more young people with the ongoing assistance of our partners and supporters.
