What Exactly Is Social Wealth?
When individuals discuss wealth, they typically imply money or other material possessions. However, social wealth is an equally significant form of wealth. It all comes down to the connections you make with others, including your classmates, friends, mentors, neighbors, and even online communities. These relationships can provide you with support, open opportunities, and a greater sense of purpose in life.
Why It Is Important to Youth
When you are a young person trying to make sense of your life, career, or education, social wealth can make all the difference. You might be able to receive a job interview if someone you know recommends you. Speaking with a mentor could lead to a fresh perspective or direction. Strong social bonds also support mental wellness and groundless. It is more important to treat people well and maintain relationships than it is to just know who you know.
How to Create It (Without Trying to Look Fake)
Getting a lot of contacts or followers is not the only way to build social wealth. It is more about being genuine—being there for people, listening to them, and lending a hand when you can. Say hello to new people, volunteer, and join clubs. Little things build up. You will eventually build a network that helps those around you as well as supporting you.
